Friends,

Happy Earth Day! Get outside and enjoy some time in nature. With April comes Jane Goodall’s birthday, Earth Day and, of course, spring. The days are getting longer and warmer, and the smell of dirt is in the air. The sounds of the birds returning are always a joy. I feel the urge to walk into town, find a bench under a tree in the local park, and write my next batch of MUTTS strips.

With spring comes a reminder to renew our commitment to the planet we share with all species.

And www.the-mutts.com has some great news to share: unveiling our 1% for the Planet non-profit partners. These are the charities we have donated to fulfill our 2021 commitment. We love the work these charities are doing to save animals and the environment. More details on this next month but, for now, these charities are:

So remember to get out. Bring your dog with you or call your local shelter to see if they have a dog walker program. You won’t regret spending time going for a walk with a happy canine, and you might even find a new best friend.

"To reconnect with nature is key if we want to save the planet." — Dr. Jane Goodall

Susan and I read Mutts daily in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, out of Saranac Lake. Mooch and Earl and the rest of the crew are our favorite of all time. Thanks Patrick! You make our day. And on top of that you support shelters and the environment and a good philosophy. Hurrah!

So it seems the MUTTS community is all on the same page. We wake to Mooch, Earl and the Gang each and every morning will a smile and a chuckle. That alone is magic, I for one, in these most difficult times am so very thankful and appreciative of just that. Thank you Patrick for all you do, the message of joy, the message of connecting with nature, animals and our own souls. It means so very much. ❤️🐾❤️🙏🏻☮️🌱🌱🌱✨🌻💛🇺🇦💙

Keep saying what you say and doing MUTTS your own way! I sometimes feel my heart just expand, and so should everyone.

I love mutts, its message and Patrick. We need to see the love and compassion every day, and be reassured that we are not the only ones who care. Why can’t Patrick be the one to rule the world . If only. But he wouldn’t be if he could because he is the epitome of harmonious equality for all species.

Some people, who can’t seem understand or grasp the concepts of empathy, kindness, and sharing, also can’t see the forest for the trees. They think that “preachy crap” is anything that causes one to pause for decency, which they loathe to do themselves. 🚩

I love Mutts just the way it is. Don’t change a thing. 💜💙🍀🐾

MUTTS is absolutely perfect as is. We love the comic strip and check it every morning to see the latest and greatest message, whether it’s about dogs, other animals, the earth, or simply love, it’s always stellar and always welcome. The Mutts group is the most caring and gentle bunch. Please keep it up! 💞💕

We love Mutts exactly the way you draw it. Love the environmental lessons, the animal rescues/adoptions, the vegan strips, the preachy things. Hope Mutts opens more peoples’ hearts. On behalf of my dog and cat family members, our wildlife friends…and us, thank you.

Love MUTTS and the message it sends! First comic I read everyday and several of my favoriteprints framed. Keep on speaking up for animals and the environment!

I love all the MUTTS characters and… “your preachy crap”…which I think is not “preachy” nor “crap”. Keep up your wonderful work!

Luv all your characters! The daily strip outs a smile on my face first thing each day. The blog is a great way to catch up on what’s happening with Patrick, books, speaking engagements. I’d like to know more about each character, what inspired creating each of them, for example. Please keep up the Blog!
