Our Mission & How We Give
At MUTTS, we are dedicated to helping animals and the planet. We give back by supporting local shelters and rescue groups, and by donating to animal rescue across the globe. Additionally, we are proud members of 1% for the Planet, a global organization that exists to ensure our planet and future generations thrive. We’re proud of our contributions — and strive to continually do more — but we know these accomplishments wouldn’t be possible without your support. Please read on for more information about the causes and incredible organizations we help to support.
One Tree Planted
One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and experts to create an impact on nature, people, and wildlife. Reforestation helps to rebuild forests after fires and floods, provides jobs for social impact, and restores biodiversity.
The Jane Goodall Institute
For people passionate about addressing the greatest environmental and social threats of our time, the Jane Goodall Institute provides a path from hope to action to impact. Delivering on the vision of founder Dr. Jane Goodall, JGI is the leading science-driven organization advancing understanding and protection of chimpanzees, global wildlife, and their habitats, creating a better world for people, other animals, and the planet we share.
Did you know? Patrick's acclaimed picture book Me...Jane, which tells the story of young Jane Goodall, inspired a children's musical at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.!
Project V.E.T.S.
Project V.E.T.S. collects veterinary equipment, technology, and supplies, and distributes those items to 100+ animal welfare partners in 38 countries around the world. This program serves animals ranging from dogs and cats to elephants and pangolins, and prevents up to six tons of usable, lifesaving items from ending up in landfills each year. Project V.E.T.S. recognizes that the health of humans, animals, and ecosystems are all interconnected. They are committed to healing the planet, one animal at a time.
Mercy for Animals
Mercy for Animals is a leading international nonprofit working to end industrial animal agriculture by constructing a just and sustainable food system. Active in Brazil, Canada, India, Mexico, and the United States, the organization has conducted more than 80 investigations of factory farms and slaughterhouses, moved more than 300 food companies to adopt animal welfare policies, and helped pass historic legislation to ban cages for farmed animals. Mercy For Animals believes that if we work together, we can create a world where animals are respected, protected, and free.

Greater Good Charities
Greater Good Charities is an international nonprofit that works to Amplify the Good around the world, helping people, pets, and the planet by mobilizing in response to need. To help pets, they renovate shelter spaces, and provide critical food and supplies, medical support, transport and more. They support the conservation of threatened species around the world through habitat protection and community education.
The Animal Rescue Team
We’ve donated $75,000+ to the HSUS and HSI’s Animal Rescue Team which works with law enforcement to investigate the worst cases of animal abuse nationwide. Every year, this team rescues thousands of animals from puppy mills, animal fighting operations, natural disasters, and other large-scale situations of cruelty and neglect.
Local Shelters & Rescue Organizations
Each year, MUTTS donates signed comic strip prints to animal-related nonprofits for raffles and other fundraising events. Since we began this program, we’ve supported more than 280 nonprofit animal welfare organizations in raising $175,000 to fund grassroots rescue and sheltering efforts.
