We recently invited animal lovers of all ages to channel their inner artists by sending us shelter, foster, and adoption stories in the form of written or illustrated MUTTS comic strips. It is our hope that, through art, we can tell the stories of our shared experiences, and spread some happiness and hope, during this unusual and difficult time.

We’ve loved seeing your submissions, and are so appreciative of the time taken to create and submit your heartfelt stories. Last month, we posted a small sampling of the artwork we’d received so far. Below is another selection of artwork submissions that have inspired us — and we hope they will inspire you, as well.

Submitted by Sherrie Raleigh (Macon, Georgia)

Submitted by Dorota Porczak (Long Island, New York)

Submitted by Irina Markoska (Espoo, Finland)

Submitted by Julie Miller (Medina, Ohio)

Submitted by Jim Nelson (Oregon)

Submitted by Taylor Moy, age 10 (New York City)

Submitted by Scott Pensak (Edison, New Jersey)

Want to join the fun? We’re still accepting submissions! Select drawings will be shared on our blog and social media, and some may even be re-drawn by Patrick for publication in newspapers worldwide!

If you’d like to draw your own cartoon, templates are available here, along with other helpful info. If drawing isn’t your cup of tea, we also welcome written stories. You can see examples of MUTTS comic strip “stories,” written by author Glen David Gold, here.

Please send questions or submissions to [email protected].

Super cute! Keep them coming!

Such a treat to read these!!!! I was especially touched by Dorota Porczak’s cartoon as I found a tiny kitten hiding and mewing under a car on a horrible cold rainy November night. I enjoyed her company for more than 16 years!
