Patrick McDonnell and author Glen David Gold have teamed up to auction off an original MUTTS comic strip to benefit Stray Cat Alliance, a non-profit animal welfare organization.
The hand-colored original comic strip was written by Glen and illustrated by Patrick. It features Mooch, Earl, Ozzie, and Millie social distancing as they wait for take-out orders outside of Butchie’s Fatty Snax Deli — an essential business.
Interested in placing a bid on this one-of-a-kind artwork? The strip is now live online (Lot #94056) at Heritage Auctions, which means you can sign in to track the item, bid in advance, and/or be notified when it is ready to be bid upon live. The auction will take place on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 2:30PM EDT / 1:30PM CDT.
This is a unique chance to own an unpublished MUTTS original and support a great cause at the same time. The strip is signed by Patrick and created in ink and watercolor over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 9.75″ x 3″.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to Stray Cat Alliance. Based in Los Angeles, SCA has found forever homes for tens of thousands of cats, and has rescued or positively impacted the lives of countless more.
