Hello, dear friends! Can you believe that we're already more than halfway through the year? Just last month we said "so long" to spring and greeted the summer season and yet here we are, already having spent more days in 2022 than we have remaining.

On that topic, it's even time for us to release our 2023 calendars! Our 2023 wall calendar, produced in-house by the MUTTS team and printed in the USA, is already available. Plus, our desk calendar, entirely inspired by reader favorites, will be coming soon!

If you, like us, are a little awe-struck at the rate at which the year's flown by, we encourage you to take a second and reflect on everything you've accomplished thus far in 2022. We were doing the same and wanted to express how grateful we are to our readers (yesh, you!) for all that you make possible.

With your support, we launched a partnership last month with Greater Good Charities to donate pet bowls and have them shipped to Ukraine to be distributed to refugees with pets. We sent a shipment from MUTTS but wanted to do more. When we asked if you'd like to help, you responded in a huge and truly heart-warming way. Together, we were able to send 445 of our stainless steel pet bowls to Greater Good Charities to get into the hands (and paws) of those who need them most.

In another Greater Good Charities update, Patrick recently released his comic strips inspired by their Good Flights program! Back in April, Patrick and members of Team MUTTS were invited to greet a Good Flights rescue plane that transported 48 wonderful pups from overcrowded shelters in the south to New Jersey for adoption. Head to our blog to read about the flight, see photos, or check out the collection of strips inspired by this joyful experience!

We can only hope that the second half of the year is filled with as many opportunities for moments of joy. And we hope that this month (and in each one moving forward), we've inspired you to find some time to seek out happiness. After all, it's often right in front of you.

Surprized to see this mornings (7/31/22) about the ‘kids’ suggesting Crabby ‘find himself’ w’refs to him being cooked & eaten! Though I’ve been following you for years it was the ‘vegan deli’ that made me a fan. Somehow this AM seems like a ‘throwback’ to ‘lesser’ times!

I am so happy that I found www.the-mutts.com and their cartoons a number of years ago — Their cartoons are always joyful and sweet, and have wonderful comments on Daily Mutts. They also have some “great shtuff” on their website. During the last several years since the Covid pandemic and other things that have happened in our world, Mutts, their comic strips, and the company of my senior cat have been a bright light in a dark place when things get depressing. I also appreciate all the good work that the Mutts people does in helping shelter pets and wildlife. Their cartoons show how we are all connected, and we should love and respect others, including all creatures that are part of our planet. I hope Mutts will be around for 1,000 years!

How I wish the world that we lived in was just like Mutts.
This comic strip is an absolute delight.

Thanks for all the good work you do supporting animal welfare organizations and shelters. An organization I work with has been a beneficiary of Mutts’ generosity in support of a recent raffle fundraiser. I look forward to receiving Mutts each day in my email. I have been purchasing tear-off calendars since they were first offered, so I’ll look forward to 2023’s.

I frequently take dogs from our Arkansas shelter to an Illinois rescue run. Unfortunately even the spots in the Midwest are shrinking at the expense of many wonderful dogs. Please be responsible pet owners and spay and neuter your pets. ❤️🐾❤️

I just love all of you and all you do for charity plus make me smile…most of the time ;-) The shelter stories really jerk my heartstrings sometimes and yet I do appreciate you bringing it to awareness.
I look forward to when the tear off calendar is out!
